It's the effect of the gas they used to inflate your abdomen for the surgery.  It's very common.  It'll go away.  Alternate ice and heat for comfort.  If it persists too long , contact your surgeons office for directions.

Keep well hydrated and walking.  If it's still bothering you in a couple days, contact your surgeons office.

It's the anesthesia and the gas they use in your abdomen. Stay hydrated and walk as much as you can comfortably, it really helps the gas move out.

I had horrible should pain for almost two weeks. I'm glad my doctor warned me it would probably come.

Do you have a rocking chair? My daughter and I both found that rocking helped ease some of pain since it seems to help eliminate the gas.  I agree with the advise above too. Water and walk.

Coppergirl.  Thank you! So it seems to be normal. That has been the worst part besides the fact you have to stick to liquids .
