Nuts are driving me nuts

So am NOT alone. That's good. I thought I am going crazy lool.

Actually I don't like cashews at all. I go nuts for peanuts , almonds and pistachios.

I just bought a box of 100 calories packs of almonds. Let's try this way. If I can't resist eating a pack a day, I will STOP at all.

Thank you all for your thoughts and support.

Not nuts and not alone....  I'm thinking about getting rid of the almonds in my house.  Eat a handful... yum, they were good, just a few more, and then a few more, etc. etc.  The only way I can handle it at all is to literally count out how many I will eat and then put the rest of them away - hopefully out of sight, out of mind.  But they can be a real challenge.

If you are craving nuts, you are probably not getting enough protein.  Make sure you are getting the right amount of protein with your other food.  That should help.

I have to be careful around nuts.  For a while I was like they are healthy so great snack.  I would get the individual packs from starbucks all the time.  But they are still loaded w/ calories -- 1 little bag is 240 calories!

I have them as a treat.  They are healthy fats, but we don't need lots of calories so they have to be kept in check.

If they are a trigger for you, get rid of them.

I have been eating a snack called Balanced Breaks which has a bit of cheese and a few cashews in it.  I buy them in a multi pack at Costco, but have seen them in smaller packs in the grocery store.  It limits the amount of cheese and nuts you consume.  Has 170 calories and 7 grams of protein.

I have heard almonds are better than cashews or other nuts. My surgeon says eat 10 almonds as a satisfying snack. And keep them unsalted. the salt may be what you crave as much as the nuts. Salt your protein dinner instead.  GL  Diane S
