Finally sleeved but gaining weight.

After 5 years of being on OH I was sleeved on the 20th of this month. I know that I shouldn't be on the scale everyday. However, my first day back from Mexico I weight 247 and then the next day 266 and today 260.1. My highest weight was 272 and my surgery weight was 262.

Either I need to throw out my scale or I legit gained weight. Is this normal? Has anyone experiences this?

Your scale sounds wonky.  My husband was sleeved on the 20th as well.  He weighed in at 294 the day of surgery (down from 315 from the pre-op diet.  When we got home he was 296 and now a few days later he is down to 293.  You should have seen an upswing b/c they pump you full of fluids at the hospital - but a 20 lb swing is not likely to be accurate.

could just be fluid retention....and maybe a wonky scale......give yourself a break from the scale for a few days......get in your fluids and protein, make sure your vitamins are in too.....it'll all straighten out in short order.....and if you have any concerns, don't hesitate to call your medical team.

Other than that....have a wonderful holiday!

Thank you ladies. I'm gonna stay away from the scale and say hi to it after I'm done phase 1 of the post op diet. It's been hard to get my protein and liquids in but I'm trying.

That sounds strange. What are your vitals like? Have things improved?
