My leak is finally healed!!
I am so happy to report that my early Christmas gift is a healed leak!!! I had VSG on 3/8 of this year. From the beginning, things just weren't quite right. I went 9 months without eating and getting my nutrition through TPN, then an NJ tube, then back to TPN. I have lost nearly 100 lbs since surgery and am at a normal BMI of 22. Now, I have to figure out how to stabilize as I don't necessarily want or need to lose more weight but I am essentially on the same eating plan as someone fresh out of surgery. Anyway, I just had to share my happy news. For anyone going through a leak, there is light at the end of the tunnel!
