Almost 6 months and down 100 lbs

On Saturday before my work Christmas Party I weighed myself and I was surprised to see that I was officially down 100lbs (100.6 to be exact). My 6 months surgical anniversary is on 12/29/2016.

I debated on whether or not I should post anything but I have been seeing a lot of posts from people who are struggling and I know these posts can be motivational.

I can honestly say I am not perfect and have eaten carbs and sugar. I have a hard time saying no to myself which is something I am working on. The days that I splurge I do extra cardio at the gym to make sure that the calories I burn are more than the calories I took in.

I have gone from a size 24/26 to a size 12/14. I started this journey for my husband and my son but now I realize this journey was for me. I am so much healthier and happier. I can run, yes RUN on a treadmill!!

Here is a before picture and a "now" picture. It's not my after picture because my weight loss journey is not over...

The sleeve is the best thing that I have ever done for myself :)

All I can say is that if you are struggling, keep on trucking!! We are in this together!

You look great! I'm just on my 2nd week of recovery after having the VSG. I'm regretting having the surgery, ppl tell me it's normal but these posts def help. I feel so week right now but there is light at the end of the tunnel...I just need to have patience.

Hang in there, it does get better. Hopefully this will just be a blip on your radar screen. It can feel really crappy in the beginning but hopefully it'll be like a light switch where you go from feeling crappy & regretting the surgery to feeling at least ok & semi normal & feeling that you can do this, cuz you can. Good Luck to you.

It gets better! The first month is definitely the hardest! Once you get the all clear for regular foods everything will start to fall into place. Be patient, I promise it gets better. You will start to see results soon and you will feel so much better!

Hi.  I had the gastric bypass a week ago.  Im really struggling.  I have no energy at all.  I have no desire to eat.  All i want is water. I regret having this surgery as well. I just hope i can get past this and feel alive again .
