2017 Goal Creation
I've got 367. :/ Maybe 10% of those are in Kindle format, but the rest are physical. It's a "problem." And, seriously, it's too easy to plan meals from recipes online, or from recipes that are already on my blog (i.e., things I've cooked in the past). It's too easy, especially with school, to be "lazy." So I need to step it up!

Interesting concept. I might need to evaluate goals for myself in 2017. I really like your fitness and relationship goals. Those are areas I need to work on.
I learned about it in my Personal Trainer Fundamentals course my first term back in college. It really stuck with me and, as I can see from my 2016 goals, I'm much better with SMART goals than vague ones!

Years ago every computer person seemed to have a Franklin Planner. It is an amazing system of planning and prioritizing your life.
I keep my plan in a Word document now, but refer to it daily. Each day has the tasks I need to do that day, then the weekly, monthly and yearly tasks on one document. Everything has a date and time attached it to it.
I read in a book that most amazing ideas die at birth. We come up with a great idea, think about it for a day or so and then forget it. Or we discuss with someone else who shoots it down.
Marconi, the person who invented radio, discussed his idea to send sound over the air with his friends and they tried to have him committed to an institution.
Goals are so important and without them our lives and times slip away with little accomplished. Your list is so well thought out and inspiring. Thanks for sharing it.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I use a planner/journaling system called Bullet Journal. I keep mine in a DayTimer binder just for flexibility, but it's where I keep all my tasks. Then I have a monthly page where I can keep track of goals like these. It's a really great system for me. I've been using it since May, I think?
Your system sounds similar - just in a different format. I bet it's really nice to have a Word document because you can copy and paste things wherever you need them to be!
Thanks for the compliment on my goals - it means a lot. Your comment of "most amazing ideas die at birth" is one of the reasons that it's been good for me to share my goals and write them down, and revisit them on a regular basis. I feel like this helps me to solidify and commit to them. I think sharing them helps with my accountability. It makes me feel like everyone else is going to judge me if I slack off. (Ultimately, I know that "everyone else" has better things to do in their lives than judge me for my goals! But if that delusional notion helps keep me on track, I'll roll with it.)

I must carefully contemplate this and I will post mine later too maybe. I love your process so much. It is fabulous!
I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

BTW Gwen, I don't know if you are into planners, but you might really dig a Passion Planner if you are. It's designed to create goals much like you did, but it's integrated into the weekly/monthly format, and each month you meditate on what you did and where you want to go.

See my above reply to White Dove :D I'm a Bullet Journaler - it's an awesome system for me and gives me the flexibility and structure I need. But thank you for the suggestion!

I BuJo in my Passion Planner and also carry around a dotted Leuchtterm1917 to do my BuJo food log in :) I tried doing the whole planner schmancy BuJo style. The result was..............interesting. I think my notebook actually wept in despair.
