I really enjoy the foods I make, but my body just wants to eat more often. Weight loss is unpleasant - even losing these couple pounds has been tough. But I am going to do it because losing 10 pounds or 20 pounds will be even harder. And I know what it is like to be morbidly obese. So I struggle on.
I always try to shift my meals so I eat breakfast after 10AM, so I can have lunch at 2pm and dinner at 7 pm. Then I have my snack at 9 and go to bed before I'm tempted to eat again. But my body wants to eat every 3 hours, and that would lead to weight gain. And especially when I've been cutting back on calories, its really hard to wait. I've been resisting eating breakfast for 2 hours now. But if I eat early, I'll probably need to add a 4th meal, and that will blow the weight loss for the day.
Whoever said that WLS was the easy way out! I'd like to see that "easy" part.

I find I am waiting for the times of the day to come to eat. I normally have breakfast at 8 at work. Then I used to snack around 10 but I have tried to stop that and have been doing well. Between 12-12:30 I have lunch. If I snack its between 3-4. Dinner is anytime after that. I try not to late night snack, if I do I try to be good. It isn't easy. Working 10-12 hours a day 5 days in a row helps because I can only eat what I have on me. It's weekends that throw me off completely. I only lost .4lbs since yesterday, the day before that was -2. I mean, that's fantastic but my mind is like, "I ate so well, what happened?".

An interesting observation -- food bores me. Food used to excite me -- but now it's just something almost as mundane as brushing my teeth. I don't enjoy eating.
I DO, however, miss the food I'm not supposed to eat. Really only candy and melted cheese at this point. I did have a misstep this last weekend with my old dance partner. Aside from those two, I don't really care too much about bread or chips or pizza (except for the melted cheese on it). I haven't missed San Diego Mexican food yet (San Diego Mexican is different than traditional Mexican if you haven't had it). I did have a misstep this last weekend with my old dance partner. I pulled some positives from the experience, but my 'core beliefs' came sneaking back in a bad way in the aftermath.
At any rate, I've stepped off on the right foot this morning, which is usually a good barometer of my day.
