Setting a Goal

Wow.  First, losing 21 pounds in a month is excellent.  That's the amount I lost my first month, and I ended up losing 225 pounds in 18 months.  You are doing fine!

I found that the first few months I lost 12 to 15 pounds per month.  So you might expect to be down another 25 to 30 pounds.

But I'd recommend throwing the "goals" out the window.  Just stick to plan and do the best you can.  Ultimately, does it matter if you lose all your weight in 6 months, or 1 year, or 2 years?  if every month you are staying on plan and losing  weight, and getting healthier, does it really matter how long it takes?

the biggest surprise for me was that maintenance is so similar to the weight loss phase.  Its just a few more calories and a little more flexibility.  So no need to rush to get there.  We are going to be managing our obesity the rest of our lives.  There is no "done" on the horizon.

Congratulations on your success so far.  You are doing great.
