I'm glad you had a good holiday Gwen! Even if you were faking it. :-)

Mine was pretty good too. A lot of quality family time, some fun times with friends too.  I ate too much and too many carbs, but I didn't weigh myself today so I'm not sure of the damage yet. One positive thing, I was able to refrain from much snacking. I primarily stuck to three meals a day.

This morning I wasn't feeling great. I don't know if it was vitamins on an empty stomach or what, but my belly really hurt. Feeling a little better now. Best part of today is only 15 days left of the semester then I get over two whole weeks to work with my husband and spend time with my children!

B: cheese and crackers

L: Thanksgiving leftovers...turkey, gravy, a little corn and a little stuffing

D: something with beef per my husband who is tired of turkey

Hi Gwen and All,

I am so touched by your wonderful thanksgiving story.  How special that you and your mom went climbing together!  That is just outstanding.  We should all be so adventurous in our 70's!

I did good on my diet yesterday in spite of the cake with the thick gooey frosting sitting in front of me for hours. It was calling to me, and I didn't touch it!

So I'm committed to eating only 3 meals a day, and no carbs until the weight gets back to goal.

Breakfast - salmon

Lunch - pesto chicken and parmesan cheese, maybe with a little sweet potato casserole.

Dinner - chicken fried rice (with riced cauliflower)

Happy Monday everyone.  I hope you are all well and happy.

Carol

OH!  Granola sounds good.  I think I have some pecans in the cupboard...

Yeah i like to put 1-2 tbsp of granola in my ff greek yogurt because it feels like a dessert epecially when you put it with strawberry greek yogurt! I like the crunch it gives you but I would be careful with the carbs - I am over 2 years out and have like 15-20 more pounds to go which is why I allow myself some (limited) carbs here and there :)
