Hi all, I am looking at having the sleeve done as I have PCOS and regardless of how healthy I eat and how much I work out I still put on weight, also family history of obesity. I am very excited about getting the op, very aware of its challenges, but I would like to know if anyone else with lower end of the spectrum for BMI and whether losing too mutes an issue.  Thanks everyone

VSG on 03/13/14

I'm afraid I'm not sure how VSG will help you lose weight if your current habits of eating healthy (which I assume means fewer than 1000 calories a day and high protein) plus exercise are still causing you to gain weight.

I have pcos also, and the surgery did the job for me.  So don't be discouraged.  It can work.

There is a PCOS forum and a forum for "Lightweights" on this site, So you can find more connections with people who are dealing with similar issues.  Pull down the "forum" menu on the top of the page and take a look.

best of luck on the weight loss journey.  The surgery really works.
