I just wanted to thank everyone here today, on American Thanksgiving.  I have always benefited greatly from the support and wisdom of the veterans, as well as the perspectives of the new folks.  I have no doubt that my success is due to all of your contributions and encouragement.  I am lucky to be able to celebrate today, and I am so grateful for each of you today!

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

It is not that we have so little time but that we lose so much...the life we receive is not short but we make it so; we are not ill provided but use what we have wastefully. -- Seneca, On the Shortness of Life

I want to second that.  We all have so much to be grateful for.  The fact that weight loss surgery exists and is an effective tool to combat the disease of obesity.  I am so grateful for my health and mobility now that I've lost weight.

It's been a tough year for me, but I still have much to be thankful for.  Family and friends, work and volunteerism, opportunities to travel and grow and explore.

And I am thankful to all of you for your continuing support, as we work to overcome our struggles with obesity.  You guys understand.  That means a lot to me.

best wishes,

Carol
