Chefsteps has a video on how to make Eggs Benedict. I adore them, but never wanted to deal with making it. I can find it locally, but usually it is not very good. That is one that I am really going to look forward to making! Bought some fish tonight, and also bought two turkeys. Going to sous vide one and do the other the traditional way just in case :)

You may have already seen this happyteacher, but Serious Eats has a ton of great sous vide stuff!

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

I use the Demi Supreme Sous Vide machine.  I LOVE it!  I also hated cooking chicken because I never could get the temperature right.  I'm probably going to get an air fryer next.  I don't usually like dried food but my husband loves it and it might be fun to try.

We adore our air fryer! I find that especially since I had my gallbladder out and get sick if I eat fatty anything it has been especially helpful. Worth the purchase, especially if you have room to store it.

I will not buy this.  I will not buy this.  I will NOT buy this.  I WILL NOT BUY THIS.

$199 is too much, especially at this time of year.    I have become addicted to kitchen gadgets and I just don't have an inch of extra space.  I think vacuum sealing the seasoned meat/fish and simmering it would work.  Can't you set the temperature on an electric skillet and accomplish the same thing?  Now, if I could return my Air Fryer and Cook's Essential pot, that would be another story.

I don't know if that works but I do know the sous vide includes a circulator so that you can get even temperature.  My parents and two of my brothers have the ANOVA circulator  (US  $129 on Amazon) and love it.  They just place it in their own containers.  My brother Jared, uses a cooler.  They also just use baggies to seal it.  I use a vacuum sealer.  I don't see the difference.

There are a lot of DIY ways to sous vide. If you go to Chefsteps.com they actually have a section that will show you how to do it. I would for sure try it out first before you invest. I picked up the Joule as a preorder, so only $149 for it. Before I bought it though I used my bluetooth Instant Pot pressure cooker to cook my first sous vide. It only took one steak for me to start looking for a dedicated sous vide option. It is just that good!
