Good luck to you! It's normal to be nervous but honestly I had a very easy recovery from my surgery that was 7/7. Follow your doctors orders and don't expect to feel terrible everyone has a different experience. We joked that I wasn't sure the doctor  did the surgery since I felt so good. Wishing you the best!!  This surgery was the best thing for me.

Thanks I appreciate the support I believe this will be the best thing for me also.  Really getting nervous excited.  However this clear liquid diet is getting the best of me today lol.

There is so much good in front of you!  The best advise I got was "walk, walk, walk, and sip, sip, sip!"  If you have shoulder pain for a couple days, its from the gas they use to inflate your abdomen to visualize your organs for the surgery.  Don't be afraid to ask for pain meds.  And don't be afraid to ask for sleepers because they will be in and out all night checking your vitals!!!  The first fart is the best!  Belching is over.  Um, that's all I can think of for now.  YOU GOT THIS, COACH!!!!

I can't add much of anything that hasn't already been posted, so I'll just wish you best of everything in this wonderful journey. Walk, walk, walk and sip, sip, sip.

Be sure to let us know when you're home and ready to post so that we can officially welcome you to the Loser's Bench.

Good friends are like stars.
You don't always see them but you always know they're there.

Tomorrow is the day and I feel ready especially after all the encouragement!  Head cold is past no problems today however I do have a bit of a headache and want to taste food!  I know it will be a little while but know it's worth it all.  Thanks for all the support Anyone know it there is an app?

when I had my surgery, I used my plate.  There is an app called bariatastic.  I use the fitbit app. Their menu is very diverse and you can find about anything on it, or load anything into it.  you can use it even if you don't have a fit bit.
