I can't remember what I'm supposed to eat pre-op!

Hey everybody! Soon after my surgery ten years ago I grew a lovely colony of gallstones that I am just now having extracted. My surgery is in a month, and I'm a little nervous because when I had my sleeve done, my liver was fattier than the doctor expected it to be, even at 334 pounds.

I'm a little concerned that now, even at 215, my liver is more fatty than it should be, so I'd like to put it on a diet! I'm pretty sure it should be a very low-fat diet, but I can't remember much beyond that. Does anyone have any good links for specific instructions for reducing abdominal fat before surgery? Thanks, friends! xo

(P.S. I have missed those absurd emoticons! I love that they haven't changed!!!)

You should probably call your surgeon for advice about a pre-op diet. What works for sleeve surgery may not be what's required for gall bladder surgery.

Here's my favorite all-purpose snark emoticon:

Good luck with your surgery

What the parrot said, call your surgeon.
