Hello All,

I am 3 months post-op and doing well.  I am so grateful that I decided to have this surgery.  I am down 66 lbs and I feel better daily.  I am running out of clothes that I fit but if that is the worse of my troubles, I'll take it...lol.  I still get uncomfortable when people compliment me.  I guess I am not used to it.  But I think I am getting better at accepting them.  Just continue to pray for me that I will continue on this journey with success (because the cravings now are very REAL!)  Have a great day!!!

Outstanding! Keep up the good work!

I'm about 6 weeks further along than you and also running out of clothes that fit. I have a wide range of sizes in my closet and there are now lots of empty hangers (yippee). This morning I tried on some "fall / winter" clothes that I had taken out of the closet last month to have the slacks shortened and the sweaters freshened because I thought they would fit by this month. Some even still have tags on them. Well....they're now going into the donation bin because they're too big. I was really upset when they were too small.....now I'm thrilled that I have to give them away for being too big.

As to cravings....I get them too and deal with them as best I can. I told my nutritionist yesterday that I've started making beef jerky because it helps me with some of those cravings. I've fought them off pretty well so far......but I have to admit that I had a teaspoon of ice cream on my birthday.....one teaspoon full satisfied me (actually, it didn't taste as good as I thought it would) and I will have to remember for the rest of my days that I cannot have any more than that. So far, so good.

Good friends are like stars.
You don't always see them but you always know they're there.
