I'm still sick, but I think I'm on the mend since I figured it out.  I was having crazy acid feeling in my throat that wouldn't go away and yesterday I finally tried to figure out what had changed in my diet.  I started using this electrolyte powder and I knew that one of the ingredients was monk fruit (luo han guo) and that this is a high fructose sweetener, but I got it anyway since I figured it wouldn't bother me as it's the last ingredient on the list.  But I guess there's enough that it's screwing up my stomach (I have fructose malabsorption since before WLS) because when I stopped drinking it I started feeling better almost immediately.  I still have cold symptoms but that perpetual acid feeling has gone away.  THANK GOODNESS.

1: protein shake
2: soup
3: leftover chicken
4: ice cream while I refresh the election returns

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: still feel too rough to risk it.

If you're eligible to vote today, and haven't voted already, GO VOTE.  It's important.

What're you eating today?

hi all,

I hope you are all getting out to vote.  I worked at the polls this morning, processing early voter ballots.  We are having a great turnout here.  Democracy is so important for our long-term freedom.  Please vote!

Breakfast - Mexican casserole over spaghetti squash

Lunch - salmon

dinner - eating out - probably not great...

snack - humus and chips while we watch the election results.  Maybe a stiff drink if its close! (smile)

I wanted to work at the polls this year, but my school schedule was non-compliant.  You are AWESOME for helping out.  I have tons of respect :D

Turnout when I early voted was amazing.  Regardless of who is elected, I feel like we'll all feel better about the result if more people are involved in making it.  Even when I was young I had the feeling that any party which needs to prevent people from voting in order to win wasn't okay.

I've made very bad choices today, so I'm not even going to say what I'm eating. But, did vote at about 7:45 this morning.

First day with new clients so it's always stressful-ish.  Volunteered my services somewhere.

Meal #1: protein shake.

Meal #2: protein shake.

Meal #3: chipotle (2 sides meat, 1 side guac only)

snacks: Moon Cheese and maybe 2-3 oz watermelon from the Mariano's salad bar.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!
