Surgery Monday, home last night, feeling great!

Hi!  I think you and I had class together at DePaul.  I sat next to you.  You work from home, right?  I had Morales and my surgery was the 24th!  I'm 10 days post op.  Sounds like you are doing great!

OMG Yes, I remember you!!!  Congratulations on your surgery, now we're both members of the Loser's Bench!!  How is it going for you since you got home?  I'm doing great, today is Day 3 post surg, Day 2 at home, and I've managed to get all my 60gm of protein and all 64oz of fluids both days.  I had Dr. Wheeler, but he had to go out of town the day after my surgery, so it was actually Dr. Morales who came in and discharged me.  So I got to see them both lol

That's awesome!  I have been good, but the first 5 days were hard for me.  I was very sick after surgery and still struggle getting my protein in.  I had a swollen esophagus because they had a hard time getting the bougie down once my windpipe was incubated.  Much better now tho.  I'm on day 5 of phase 2 and like it so much better!  I'm down 17 lbs total, but have been stalled since Monday :(
