I know, right? Prior to surgery I thought that I would not be one to want to get PS. After the weight loss was done, the tummy area was bothering me and affecting how I felt with the hubby... so had a TT. The neck though was never an option due to cost, and it is reaaaaalllly obvious. I am Ok with it now though. It is still so much better than being super fat. One day maybe I will go in for it, but pretty darn unlikely given it just isn't worth going through another surgery.

I do wear turtlenecks a lot though. Most days actually when the weather cools down. I mix it up with sweaters, cotton turtle necks, layers, etc. The improvement in your health is so incredibly worth a turkey neck. Small price to pay.

I just scheduled a mini facelift and TT in January.  I never thought I'd do PS either but the neck and tummy skin really bother me too.

I have lost so much weight that even though I still have at least 95ish to go, I have a turkey neck myself.  As other people mentioned, plastic surgery is the only real option.  As soon as my student loans are squared off I'll begin saving for it.  Scarves and wraps can take attention away from the neck.  So can statement necklaces and such.

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

The skin on my neck and face tightened up pretty well over time.  When I first lost weight, my skin on my face and neck was quite loose, and it made me look old.  It was discouraging, and I would have considered plastics, but I found that it looked much better over the next year or so.  Now its not an issue.

I did have plastic surgery on my stomach - there was no way the body was going to reabsorb that much skin!  But the face and neck did recover.

I hope the same happens for you!

You're fortunate turtlenecks and chokers are in style right now. But seriously even waiflike women obsess about turkey neck so it's not specific to weightloss :)

I have always had great luck with my Dermatologist with IPL and VBeam. I understand the Fraxel and Thermage are helpful but I have not done specific study yet.

Good luck and don't be so hard on yourself. I am sure you are just lovely :)

Thanks for the response everyone.  Trying to be content with my new flaws.

i probably notice it more than anyone else. I'm embarrassed of it but still haven't gotten to goal yet so no plastics yet.
