Congratulations and best of luck to you!! I'm almost 9 weeks out and no regrets. Those first few days are uncomfortable, until the gas leaves and you can sleep in more positions. Use a recliner and don't be afraid to change places to sleep. I was between my bed and recliner most nights for 2 weeks, but I'm a side sleeper. Get up and get walking asap. :-)

TY so much for the warning, Tempestt! Fortunately, I'm prepared for that evil gas bubble lol. Had lap gall bladder surgery many years ago, and that cursed bubble was the worst part. At least I know exactly what to expect so that's good!! I will definitely do the walking...lots of emphasis on that in my pre-surgery classes. Glad to hear you're so pleased with your decision, I know I will be.
I don't expect to get any sleep tonight, and 2 hour drive early to the hospital so gonna be a long evening. Hope to be posting a wonderful update in a few days!!!
You are welcome. I, too, had a long journey to the hospital, but did get some sleep, which was a good thing because my hospital roommate was noisy and had a lot of company! I don't remember all of the gas pain from my gall bladder lap, but definitely felt this one, even with walking as soon as I possibly could. You'll be on the Loser's Bench soon!
