I think I might take a nap today.  I'm wiped out.  Yesterday was a long day!

1: protein shake
2: leftover meaty spaghetti sauce
3: pork tenderloin and some yet to be determined veg

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: pilates class (my anterior tibialis finally feels almost okay)

How about you?

How do you guys do the protein shakes? Sometimes I can get some of a Premier Protein shake down. I had VSG and I have dumping syndrome with some sweet things, very odd. Nearly passed out in Walmart when I tried to eat a few bites of ice cream from McDonald's.

Bfast: Greek yogurt with cheerios/coffee

Lunch: broccoli and taco cheeseburger pie

Dinner: prob same as lunch

Vites: tummy troubles right now (ate a slice of tomato but have diverticulitis, not good)

I hated every ready made shake I tried. I prefer protein powder with unsweetened almond milk.

That's what I use too.

I avoid protein shakes, pre-made and homemade, because my doctor said to avoid drinking my calories and because even homemade shakes use highly processed protein powder. And yes, they're very sweet too, overly so to my taste. It's better for you, IMO, to get as much of your nutrition as you can from unprocessed/lightly processed foods.

  1. Coffee w/cashew milk
  2. Homemade Maryland crab soup (very heavy on the crab. Mmmmmm.)
  3. Same as 2.
  4. Snacks: 2 apples

W&V: On track

E: Must clean out the boat to get it ready to be hauled out and winterized. Much lifting, climbing of ladders, and pushing carts.

I keep the RTD protein shakes in case I get a "sweet tooth" or have no time to eat protein. Still it is too sweet. I have looked up savory shakes, the best I found was to add unflavored protein to broth. I am 5 years out and still have problems with sweet stuff, which is probably a good thing for me anyway.

I don't do the protein shakes - blech!  Also everyone will tell you that you don't have dumping syndrome, but I had the same thing.  After about a year, it calmed down -and so long as I eat protein first, I can indulge in something sugary after - just never on an empty stomach.  I ate a piece of corn muffin once and thought I was going to die.

B:  oatmeal with sliced almonds

L:  salad with tuna (going to caf, unprepared)

D:  maybe breakfast for dinner - have some farm eggs to use

E: walk for sure!

I'm off for a long weekend in Boston tomorrow.  So today is my last day for dieting for this week.

I'm holding steady about 3 pounds over my ideal weight.  I was hoping to get back down by the holidays, but it hasn't happened yet.

breakfast - buffalo chicken with spaghetti squash

Lunch - pizza casserole

Dinner - reuben sweet potatoes

snack  - greek chicken with Kalamata olives

water and vitamins - on track

exercise - lots of walking the next few days...
