Whatcha eating today? Monday, 10/10/2016
It's Monday again. I walked up a big hill on Saturday and my shins have been yelling at me since. This is suboptimal as I've got a race on Saturday!
I'm seeing my PCP today to get a prescription for a DXA scan. I've read a number of research papers recently saying that WLS people are at risk for bone density issues even with calcium supplementation, so it seems wise to get a DXA and a baseline now. I'll also be asking about my persistent orthostatic hypertension since I'm 2.5 years post-op and still dealing with it.
1: protein shake
2: um... crap. I haven't thought about lunch at all and I just realized that I'll be out of the house until 3pm or so. I'll either wait until I get home and have some meaty spaghetti sauce, or I'll have a protein bar while out.
3: flat iron steak, asparagus

Hi, Gwen. My doctor's been after me for a DEXA scan too, partly because of the weight loss, partly because of previous prednisone use, partly because of my age (65). I'll call him today for a scan order and have it done soon. Thanks for the reminder!

It is Monday but my co-worker is back so everything has returned to normal...yay! I am so wore out from my daughters softball tournament all weekend.
