6 Days Out From Surgery
I had surgery on Weds. 9/28 and came home on Friday night. About an hour after returning home I started with a pain in my groin and left side. By Saturday morning the pain was excruciating! My surgeon said to go to the ER and they determined that I had a raging UTI. I got home from the ER at midnight and my pharmacy had closed already so I started my antibiotic on Sunday. Starting to feel a little better now and get some strength back. I am getting all of my water in and getting 60 g of protein in with my shakes. I'm walking as much as possible as I still have quite a bit of pain on my side.

Ouch. I have had bad UTI's in the past and they are no joke. About 3 weeks after the birth of my last child I actually went to the ER in horrible, writhing pain from a UTI. I hope your antibiotics help and that you are soon pain free. Congrats on your surgery, it's a long time coming!

I was sleeved on 9/27 and worried about getting a UTI from the catheter, but I luckily only had a day of painful peeing. I'm glad you're doing better.
