I'm working up the urge to go to pilates class.  Waze just told me I have 10 minutes before I need to leave. So I'll post this really quickly.  Yesterday turned out to be a decent day.  I got a 96/100 on my first lecture exam in Anatomy and Physiology!  I'm beginning to believe I might be able to do this.

1: protein shake
2: leftover skirt steak
3: pulled pork hash + fried egg (I made this a few weeks ago and it was such a hit that Art requested it again and said he'd smoke pork whenever I wanted just so I could make this with the leftovers.  That's pretty impressive!)

liquid and vites: on track
exercise: aforementioned pilates class

How about you?  What's your plan for Wednesday?

Hi all,

The good news is that I've cut the carbs, but I am still eating 4 meals per day and a snack, so I'm not losing weight.  But I've stopped gaining, and that's good.

Breakfast - salmon

Lunch - chicken in thai peanut sauce

Lunch2 - orange chicken with spinach - yum

Dinner - pizza casserole

All enjoyable.  I've just got to cut out the nuts for a snack, and I should be back on track.

best wishes,

Carol

I want to do pilates but not just yet. I need to lose more weight first

Congrats on your first exam! I hated Anatomy & Physiology...so much that I dropped it lol, j/k. I was going to school to be a nurse but had to drop out because I was a single mom and it was becoming impossible to juggle a full time job and be a full time student.

B - Pumpkin spice chia pudding with protein powder.

L - Rotisserie chicken salad (store bought)

S - Lunch meat or protein shake

D - We have a fridge full of leftovers so either chili, baked chicken or roast beef.

Water & vits - on track

E - Getting my 10k steps in

Not really any plans for today. After work I will probably play some catch with my daughter. She is playing catcher in her softball game tomorrow.

You've hit on one of my pet peeves - you don't need to lose weight to do pilates!  Or yoga!  Why do people think that?  Any decent teacher is going to be able to modify based on the needs of students and that's for every body size/ability level.  If the teacher won't - it's the teacher that needs changing, not your body!

I started doing pilates and yoga classes when I was at the high end of the 260s.  There is no reason that you can't start now, there is no reason that you need to lose weight to participate in these things.

Being a full time mom, student, and job all at the same time seems pretty impossible.  (But we have had a number of students drop, and change majors, because A&P is too hard, so that's definitely a thing that happens!  More common with the younger students than ones like me, though.)

That pulled pork hash sounds good :)

Just saw the nutritionist; had to adjust some things due to low albumin.  Yay Celiac?

  1. 30g protein shake
  2. 1c whole milk greek yogurt (I made it!) with Mio.
  3. 1 chicken thigh.
  4. One hard boiled egg w/1 tsp of tahini.

Another protein shake for dinner, protein intake depending.

I'm cycling 45m a day, more to build up leg strength.  Was too easy.  I upped the resistance on the cycle all the way and almost fell off.  It was pretty hilarious, heh.  I lowered it a bit after that!

I follow a ketogenic diet post-op. I also have a diagnosis of binge eating disorder. Feel free to ask me about either!

Got back on the horse today after being thrown by yesterday's cinnamon muffin debacle. Packing to go on a 9-day cruise to New England and the Canadian maritimes tomorrow. Not worried about cruise food. Eating away from home has never been a problem for me -- maybe it's the presence of friends and family who quietly keep watch over me, bless them.

  1. Coffee w/cashew milk
  2. Eggs scrambled with onions and smoked sun-dried tomatoes, green grapes
  3. 2 chicken tenders, green beans
  4. 2 small apples

W&V: On track

E: Meh.

Addendum: I'm not taking my computer with me for the cruise, so i'll be away from this site for a while, but I'll be back!
