How about you?  What's your Wednesday look like?

Good morning, everyone.

I haven't been able to stick to plan lately.  I think its the carbs and the glass of wine in the evenings ...  that shouldn't be a big surprise.  I re-learn it over and over again.

breakfast - salmon

lunch - crack slaw

dinner - buffalo chicken spaghetti squash

snack - meatballs, if I need another meal...

water and vitamins - like clockwork

exercise - not so good.  If I can get back to exercising, that would help the weight loss, too.

Thanks for the link to the recipe! That looks delicious. My problem with slow cooker recipes is that I have to be able to put it in at about 6 am and not do anything until I'm ready serve it at 6 pm. Maybe on a weekend I could make this.

B: scrambled egg with left over hamburger, 2 peppers and some cheese

L: garlic Parmesan chicken wings

D: pork chops cooked in BBQ sauce

S: if I need it will be some jerky and/or cheese

V: on track

W: on track

E: there is an open house at the gym tonight where I can try the different classes. I'm excited to go learn some more about my option

Most modern slow cookers automatically switch to "keep warm" once cooking has finished. Perhhaps that would be useful for you?

Mine has that setting, but it doesn't have a timer, someone has to turn the knob so it doesn't help me. I leave the house by 7 am and am lucky to be home by 5:30. I work 50 miles from home so I can't run home at lunch time or anything like that.

New slow cookers are fairly cheap - so it might be worth picking up a new one if you find that you really want the feature of the auto-switch to warm.  I'm a huge fan of it :)

I've also heard of people putting all the stuff into the slow cooker frozen and then using a cheapo electric timer thing (that you plug into the wall and then plug the slow cooker into it) to delay the start of cooking.  But I'd worry too much about food safety for that route.

I have a brand new Bronco slow cooker I got for my birthday. I'll have to see if it has that feature. I bought a timer like you mentioned but I too was concerned about food safety so I haven't tried it yet.
