Just remember not everyone is as brave as you. She seems to make herself feel better by possibly trying to make others feel less then they do. When you don't feel brave it's very hard to look at those who are and feel happy for them. Stay away from her she's not in a place where she can contribute positively to your life . 

I was out in the open about it too, and glad I did for I had much support in the workplace.  I also considered it a professional catastrophe to think of myself as being at all elusive about anything, for it could jeopardize my credibility in the workplace if it ever came out that I was lying or avoiding the truth.  You have to think about these things if you plan on staying and advancing with your company.
