3 weeks and going out to eat
Good afternoon,
So, on Monday I made three weeks post op. I am excited about that. I have been on puree for two weeks today, and it is going pretty good. I am more consistent with my vitamins, now that I have some that don't taste like blah...I am exercising at least 5 days a week. Only walking, hopefully I will start weights and water aerobics after my 6 weeks appointment.
Today, I went to a buffet serving Indian food. I wasn't going to eat just keep my friend company, but as I checked out the food. I figured, I could have some of the choices. So, I went for some hummus with mint, some chickpea dish, and something else that was mushy. I did try some chicken, well I had my friend try it first to tell me if it was dry or not. Lol but, it was good with this pineapple jam.
Anyways, the moral of the story. I did good. I use a tablesppon to help measure things out, and I stopped when it was a wrap. It was a little of setting to keep telling the waiter that I was good.
I am down 28.4 pounds since surgery. I am happy to just keep going and focusing on my journey. Thanks for all the support.

I looooove Indian food. I keep several jars of sauce in my pantry, it's great stuff to throw over some shrimp or chicken thighs for an all-protein dinner. Do watch out for the chutneys, though, they tend to be pretty sugary!
Water aerobics is so much fun! I was surprised how much I loved it, hopefully you have good luck with it :)

Yeah, I looked up the nutrition info once, one tablespoon is about 25 calories and 7g sugar. Ouch!

Wow! That's a lot of sugar. But that jam was so yummy.
And I do love water aerobics. I remember when I first attended a class, the attendees were looking at me crazy cause I was like the youngest, but it is good for my knees

I ate so much Mediterranean food while I was on the soft/pureed stage, that I can't eat it right now... and I'm kinda sad about that! Although, while hummus is off the list for a while longer... some chicken Tikki Masala sounds good! Mmmmmmmm....
But to eat it without the naan might be too much for me to handle

Yes, that's the chicken I had yesterday. Although, I only had like three of the smallest pieces every and dipped it in the pineapple jam. Omg. So Good. I felt like I ate a full course meal.
