First bariatric doctors visit!
Does your surgeon actually do the DS or is this a bait and switch? If you want the DS, you may need to look for a different surgeon.
Do you have health issues? Some surgeons do the VSG first to get their patients down to a safe weight for the DS. From what I have read, though, the weight loss may not be as much doing the 2-stage process.
Good luck.

From my research he use to do the DS then about two or three years ago he stopped doing them. When I saw him Monday he said with my breathing issues Asthma and Sleep apnea I was High risk and he would only want to be under the least amount of time. I was quite happy with my visit Monday. Now with everyone pushing me to go for the DS I'm starting to wonder. I'm not a confrontational person and I don't want to jeopardize my health anymore than it already is. Maybe I should go for a bypass instead.
