New Pain in stomach area 30+ days after VSG

Hi everyone!  I had VSG surgery in Mexico on July 13th.  I was doing fine and then got really sick about 15 days after.  High fever, chills, shakes.  Went to the hospital and they diagnosed me with C Diff.  They suspected I got it due to the antibiotics that I took after surgery.  I stayed in the hospital for four days, took all of the horrible meds they prescribed me, and now something new is happening.

For the past few days I've been experiencing stomach pain that feels like my stomach is just aching.  Like a sore muscle almost.  Sometimes it feels like a side stitch on my left side.  The ache is pretty constant, sometimes it goes away, but it also gets more painful when I eat.  

My Dr wants me to add liquid antacid, (Pepto) 3 x a day for a few days to see if that helps, otherwise he wants me to come in for a barium swallow.  

I'm not freaking out yet, but I'm just trying to hope for the best.  Can anyone with experience relate to this problem?  I'm thinking maybe gastritis or an ulcer...Praying that it's not a leak or something that I have to be opened up for again.  If anyone has some insight for me I would sure appreciate it.  Thanks!

Good idea to have it checked out.  I was diagnosed with Gastritis and an ulcer about 6 months ago.  It was more of a burning in my left side than what you described.  Good luck and keep us updated.

Thanks for responding. I actually felt it burning last night. What did they do to heal your ulcer and gastritis?

Not sure if you have solved this yet but have you had your gallbladder removed already? It could be that. I had severe pain in my stomach (and also my back) and had to get mine removed.
