Well I am 4 days post-op and happy to be home.  I had to spend an extra day in the hospital due to nausea and not being able to keep anything down.  Thank GOD that is over.  Now I am home, taking it easy and trying to get all these protein shakes in.  I find them to be disgusting but I am hanging in there.  The hardest task for me is drinking enough water.  It's a struggle just to drink a half bottle throughout the entire day.  I know it's a must though so I am striving on.  Thanks for all the well wishes and prayers!  I am already down 18.6lbs including the weight I loss during the pre-op diet!!!  I am excited but now I have got to get this water down!   Thanks again everyone!  You guys rock

Congrats! Oh the comfort of home cannot be beat! You will be able to take in more fluids every day. If you aren't already, try playing with flavors and switching up with diet juices and Gatorade etc.

It might help to try liquids at different temperatures, and flavors.  For example, I found chicken broth to be the easiest to get down.  I'd stir in unflavored protein powder and get my protein in as well. (If the water is too hot, the protein powder clumps, so you have to keep the temperature under 140 degrees.)

I'm glad to hear you are home and moving forward in your weight loss journey.

It will be so worth it.

Thanks for the tip!  I will definitely try that because the struggle is real trying to get those protein shakes down!!!...lol!

I was sleeved on August 9th.   The only pain I have is my staples.  I can drink liquids easily.  And i'm starving.   I pureed some soups yesterday, and ate every three hours... about 4oz.  I'm down 24 pounds since my pro-op liquid diet.
