I don't remember saying anyone should use a time machine, travel to the past, and buy a product, according to you, although, I don't believe it, doesn't exist anymore. I am talking about here and now, in reality, what you can purchase and use. It contains 3 types of protein, all of them are beneficial forms of protein. We are not talking about what is best here, we are talking about having trouble getting your protein in, and this is a viable way. Now have a nice day

It is NOT a good spurce of protein for anyone post WLS who is only getting a very small amount of protein and calories every day. It just isn't.

IT IS STILL MOSTLY COLLAGEN!!! That really is all you need to know.

While we are on such an extremely limited diet, every calorie, every gram of protein, has to count. And New Whey is crap.

There are much, much better sources of protein. If you want to swallow this crap, be my huest.

Grim, I'm pretty early out, under a month. What do you think of the premiere rtd ones? Doesn't have the bubbles, like mixing up the Syntrax nectars which makes them sit easier for me for now. Wondering whether I should be trying to switchback to the Syntrax soonest. Working on mushies, but for now, can't get in enough of that to even get close for protein grams, so will need to supplement for a while.

There are better choices than the Premier RTD. It uses a variety of protein sources, which aren't terrible, but aren't as good as whey protein isolate.

There is a lot of lactose in the Premier, which bothers a great many after surgery. The whey isolate is lactose free.

I didn't care for any of the RTD shakes, so I can't say much about them. I did like the Syntrax a lot. Everyone has their own tastes.

Doubtful -- I didn't even involve a radiator nor restraints.

Seriously though, I concur completely with your advice.  Not that it matters -- you're the vet here.

I think the Premier RTD are good in a pinch or for portability purposes.  I have used them on occasion, but they've never been my main protein shake.  I like Syntrax a lot, too.

I wouldn't touch those protein shots with a ten foot pole -- or a 3 inch one as another poster likely has available. How's that for a shot?

Thanks, all ya'll that responded. I'll swap back to the Syntrax as soon as they sit reasonably well.

Tip on the Syntrax: mix it up in a blender bottle, stick it in the fridge, and let it settle for an hour or two. Makes a huge difference!

If you're using the nectar, you can also mix it with Crystal Light. I've found that makes the texture a bit easier to handle, though you do have to drink more since it's been diluted.
