I'm taking dexilant for GERD but I think it's causing my middle of the night insomnia. So, looked it up and insomnia is one of its side effects, in particular - middle insomnia - or waking in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep.

Maybe it's hormone changes?  I remember sleeping very heavy the first few weeks while healing, then having insomnia for a while.  Normal sleep returned by about 2 months.
