I was just coming to post the same situation. One sip of milk was enough to send me running to the bathroom this morning. Turns out it was just a big belch, but it was really uncomfortable. It's 10:30 and I still haven't had more than a couple of sips of water.

I had nause for a while after my surgery ..but then I just started having waves of it that would just last for a few seconds. It stopped within a few weeks. Keep a bottle of water next to your bed and take a few sips any time you wake up in case it's your body needing water. That seemed to help me.

My money is also on dehydration.  Keep some water by your bedside.  Best idea would be to wake up and enjoy some and go back to sleep.  Secondary, drink a glass before you get up and start moving.
