VSG women...Iron pills

My doctor says only the multiVit and calcium for now -- that they wait to see how your tests turn out after surgery before adding in any additional supplements like iron. 

Had my surgery 6.23.15 and was never advised to take iron pills post op.  I was directed to take a multi vitamin that included iron and to space it at least 2 hours from my calcium citrate chews.  My iron levels have always been normal- no problems.  Pre op I was Vitamin D deficient so I've always taken D3 in addition to my other vitamins.

I don't take any additional iron except for what's in the 2 daily multivitamins I take each day, but unlike your friend, I no longer have a cycle. I also started taking my chewable vitamins & calcium "petites" right after surgery.
