Anyone from central FL on here?

He sounds like a great doctor! I do worry though, he does outpatient and there is no overnight stay with him. Is that normal? I thought you at least stayed one night for observation. Has anyone else heard of doing it outpatient? Just curious.

You are right.. I think that just means that isnt covered in the self pay price.

Still might be worth it.. Are you going to check him out or stay with your DR in boca?

I have an appointment with him on August 8th, I will ask him then.. But I read on his website that a typical hospital stay is 2 days!

I would think almost any surgeon would do self pay? I did self pay in Margate, which is south of Boca... Dr Wizman

I was self-pay with Dr. Birkedal. Total cost of surgery and a year of post-op visits was $16,000.

$10,500 is a good price for a self pay package.  Might be they have more competiion in FL so the prices are lower.  It is a little more expensive here.

Yup seems average. Mine was $10,600, different surgeon in FL
