Officially sleeved! A few questions...

Had my surgery on Thursday, 7/14. I'm not even going to lie, I was in a lot of pain afterwards. Between the pain and nausea, it was almost unbearable. I'm home now. Feeling sore and sipping on water and chicken broth all day. A huge improvement!

This is a silly question, but...I can't tell if I'm hungry. Like my stomach feels like it's gnawing but I can't figure out if it's hunger or not! This early on after surgery, can you accurately tell? I mean, does it feel the same as before?

Another question...my face has been super hot, flushed since surgery. Anyone else experience this? I'm not sure if it's a reaction to medication/anesthesia or what?

the gnawing  feeling could be acid. Are you taking a PPI like Nexium?

No, I don't take a PPI at all.

I agree with Holly Kim - the gnawing feeling may be acid.  Just drink your water, get your protein, etc.  It's probably not hunger.  

On the hot flashes, i have no clue.  I was constantly cold.  I'm sorry I can't help with that!!

I feel perfectly temperature related except for my face is so hot and flushed.  Ugh!!!

it could be from the anesthesia

I had that gnawing sensation too and it was acid.  I got some chewable pepcid and take them twice a day and that is no longer  a problem.

It's acid.. I'm a month out and I take a ppi and still have that yucky feeling in my stomach.. The hot face is because your body is in shock.. It will pass.. Congrats on your surgery :) Good luck..
