The waiting

6/10 is when I'm guessing my information was submitted and I'm so anxious I haven't been able to focus all week how long does it take Aetna to approve ? My surgeon seems so confident that they are going to approve he even gave me 4 prescriptions to fill but I'm literally bugging out this is such a huge life chang

Congrats on starting the process.  It took my insurance 4 weeks to approve, but I do not use Aetna, so not sure how helpful that information is.

Aetna has a board that meets once a month and reviews elective surgeries like weight loss.  If your information makes it to the June meeting you will hear during June.  If submitting information for the June meeting was over before the 10th then it will go to the July meeting.

You can call Aetna and ask a representative when your surgery information will be reviewed.
