Hitting Protein Goals Without Shakes

It's totally doable! I stopped supplementing with shakes at about 3 weeks post-op - once I was able to get more than 60g a day via food, but my post-op plan didn't have a liquid stage. It was straight to soft-solids. I also wanted to get off them ASAP because I hate sweets and it was just gross to have to drink them. LOL.

It does take some advance planning but it was relatively simple for me. Breakfast typically consisted of an egg with a strip bacon and cheese. Then for lunch and dinner I made a very low-carb dinner. Pinterest has helped a lot with meal planning and recipe ideas.

Thanks for all of the great ideas everyone!  I can def do the meatballs and some sort of crustless quiche concoction (not together, of course, haha).

Just wanted to chime in and say I'm so thankful for this community! I'm 2 weeks post op and transitioning to soft foods. Was freaking out a bit because I haven't been able to hit my protein goals. Was hoping I could do this without protein shakes but after reading all your responses I realize I'm right on track from where I should be.
