Need GASTRIC SLEEVE DR IN MEXICO PLEASE
I just had my Lap band removed yesterday because of severe pain. Now, ya'll you know I'm not going to just not have a tool to control my weight. I want to get the gastric sleeve by DECEMBER 2016. I am depending on all my obesity help supporters to help me. Here is the question:
What gastric sleeve Dr in MEXICO did you use and why?
Thank you very much and as they say en mexico, muchas gracias!!!

I used Dr. Fernando Garcia because I found a LOT of info on him and felt comfortable with his hospital. Of course he is using a different hospital now (I am 18 months out) but I think it is better from what I have heard. I looked at my scars yesterday and they are barely visible. I think he did an excellent job. It was important to me that I have surgery in an actual hospital, and not a clinic, as some doctors in Mexico do the surgery in clinics. I wanted an ICU and ER. Good luck to you, whomever you choose.

There's a forum for people who're having surgery in Mexico, you can probably find more information there as well.

The more people answer the more confused you may be getting but hopefully in time on Dr will stand out of the pack. I had my surgery with Dr Jesus Martin Lopez arranged through Bariatric Pal. Had a great experience. he is warm and friendly will skype or facetime with you and the surgical experience was great. All his staff speak English.
People usually recommend who they used. I would recommend you put less emphasis on the 'Mexico experience' and more on the skill of the surgeon. You are not going for a holiday and you will never see your surgeon again. Cheap price should not be a motivator either. As with most things in life, a medium price point is usually the best 'value'. You need to look for a good 'cutter' and a safe hospital setting. Dr Ponce de Leon and Dr Alvarez are the two that I would recommend.

I glowingly reccomend Dr. Rodolfo Wilhelmy of Mexicali Bariatrics. They operate at Hospital Almater, a full service hospital with an ER and ICU, not just a clinic which was very important to me. Him and all the other Doctors at the practice are very kind and you get a visit from each of them everyday. Also you get 3 leak tests before being discharged. They aren't the least expensive but it was worth paying a little extra to be in good hands. I wrote a review for him thats very detailed if you would like to read it. At 2 months out my only 2 of my 4 scars are easy to find and they are all starting to to smooth out. Good luck on making your decision
