Just had my 1 week post op appointment. I have lost 24 pounds!! I get to move to the purée stage!! I'm so excited to have some real food!

What are some things you all are during this stage?

Thanks for the help in advance!

That is awesome..

Tunafish with light mayo - I added crushed cucumbers to make it even more wet.

Cottage cheese or ricotta cheese

mushed up meatballs with a little sauce.  but I ate maybe 1/2 of a small meatball because this was heavy.

yogurt - is still my best friend and my dog loves the empty containers.  she hears those pull tabs and comes running.

Keep up the great work.

^^^ What White Dove said

Eggface has some great recommendations for pureed foods.  The baked ricotta was the first thing I tried, and it was great to finally taste something warm and savory after so many protein shakes.

Some of my favorites:

  • Greek yogurt with a teeny bit of sugar-free preserves
  • Hummus with protein powder
  • White bean soup whizzed in the blender
  • Canned cooked chicken breast with some light miracle whip

Hi well done on losing 24lbs so quick. I am 3 week post op and have only lost 14 lbs I am so disappointed it is making me feel that I've done the wrong thing. I hope it starts to change soon before I become too depressed. Keep up the good work.
