Need some advice...
I suffered with acid issues for 3 years. Took me many combinations of Prilosec, protonix and dexilant to find something that worked. But then now at almost 5 years out, my acid issues are gone and I'm off all PPIs. Don't know how it happened but just sort of resolved. Some people rush into revision bc they can't tolerate it but I highly recommend trying all diff med combos and/or working with different GI specialists if you can.

I agree with the others on amounts - the MOST I can have comfortably in a sitting is 2 oz. And I have gotten to that just recently (2 months out from surgery).

Hi all,
I am hoping maybe you all have some advice for me...(6 weeks out) I posted a week or so ago about what I thought was acid reflux, thinking it was brought on by some strong antibiotics. I have been off the antibiotics for a week now but not having much relief. I was on Protonix and then the surgeon told me to switch to over the counter med, so now doing Prilosec. While it is a little better, nothing like I was hoping for. As soon as I start drinking water in the am I start feeling the "bubbling up" and it just continues throughout the day. Now I am starting to wonder if its something else. Am I eating too fast, eating too much? Right now a typical day is:
B: egg, sometimes with cheese
S: Greek yogurt (half the container to 3/4 the container) sometimes add canned peaches, no juice
L: Tuna packet w mayo, 2 saltines
D: 3oz chicken breast, a few green beans (canned)
I do have a hard time eating slow, but the egg takes about 5-7 min and dinner 10-15. I do chew carefully. I guess I am wondering if maybe I'm pushing it with food and this is my stomach not liking things or if its too fast? Any thoughts are appreciated. If this is my new normal I'm going to cry.
I have lot 60 lbs so far, so happy about that, but cannot figure out how to do the ticker at the bottom. Thanks!
it is not the staples. They are on the outside of your sleeve anyway.
The dromach is a pressurized organ. The sleeve when it is made becomes even more highly pressurized. It is the high pressure that can cause reflux.
this will be your new normal if you don't get on a PPI program that works. I would start by asking to go on something prescription instead of over the counter.
