Chewable vitamins suddenly taste awful
I'm 4 weeks post op, and suddenly the chewable vitamins taste horrible and I can hardly get them down. Thoughts? Advice? I remember someone posting about a vitamin patch maybe I should try that. or try some other chewables?

I had a difficult time with my multi vitamins.. the chewables tasted too tart and chalky and the soft chews were grainy and gummy they all made me nauseated whether I ate first or not.
I ended up crushing the chewables and stirring it into a small amount of liquid (an ounce****il it dissolved and drank it.
I switched to capsules as soon as the Dr. said I could ( 8 weeks)

I've never been able to do chewables, gross! My doctor let me do regular pills right away, I just had to cut them into smaller pieces and swallow them one at a time with a few minutes between. I use a generic multi from Walgreen's, you could check with your surgeon to see if that's OK.
I've also switched to the patches (www.patchmd.com) and I've been using them for a few weeks. Everyone says they have good luck with them, though I won't have labs done for another few months to check.

I hated chewable vitamins. Sometimes I just couldn't make myself take them. At about 5 weeks after my surgery my Dietitian let me switch to Bariatric Advantage with Iron, they look like those herbal supplements in clear gel capsules. And I take regular Calcium citrate pills(petites) No problem taking them. When I order them online in a 250 count bottle they really aren't much more expensive than a bunch of bottles of other vitamins.
