What cha eating today, VSGers? - Sunday
Hi All,
Its a beautiful day in New England, and I hope you are all enjoying your day.
I'm trying to stick to my diet, as I have my three-year follow-up appointment next Friday and I'd like to be down another pound or two for the weigh in. I don't want any lectures on weight gain (though I'm only up about 3 pounds from goal. ) its getting harder to lose weight and harder to stick to plan with time. But I am determined to avoid the creeping up on the scale. Its hard work.
Breakfast - salmon
Lunch - pulled pork
Lunch2 - Chicken and broccoli au gratin
Dinner - atkins beef stroganoff
vitamins - good
water - ok
exercise - walkng, walking, walking....
How about you? What cha eating today? How's the diet going?
Carol

I am having a weird diet day today and not my best...we were at the campground this morning and then out to a diner for lunch so way off my usual choices. Back to normal tomorrow!
B: 1 1/2 eggs and 2 strips of backn
L: 1/2 order of eggs Benedict (I really love this dish but know I could've made a better choice) Bummer.
S: Greek yogurt
D: protein shake (don't think I'll make my goals without it)
Water: working on it
Exercise: walking around the campground plus packing and unpacking.
Highest Weight: 268 pounds. Surgery Weight 248 pounds. Current Weight 142 pounds. VSG 8/24/15 with Dr. Havaleshko
It's chilly and drizzling rain in the PNW. I got my walk in anyway, and it felt kind of nice to be out in the cooler damp weather.
I think overall my diet is going pretty well. Yesterday was a weird day because of a party, but I think I did the best I could with my choices there. I do think I need to consider my relationship with Fudgsicles. I eat them every day (started when on the liquid phase), but I'm no longer in that phase and continuing to eat them as a sweet treat, but they aren't offering me any nutritional content that I need and I'm eating up to 4 per day! I'm tracking it all and still within the range of calories prescribed by my NUT, but still... I'm getting a little food ritual that I don't need in my life.
B - Chocolate Premier with 2 shots espresso over ice
L - 3 turkey sausage links with 1 T reduced sugar ketchup
S - 1/3 c. cottage cheese
D- Going out for su****onight at a place that offers small plate servings. My plan is for a cup of miso soup first then an order of seared tuna
S - probably 2 no-sugar-added fudgsicles...unless I can break myself of this habit.
Breakfast- scrambled egg in low carb tortilla with 1 T queso and sriracha
L: pork loin salad with feta cheese and viniagrette dressing
exercise: ran 3 miles
water: only about 20 ounces so far, I can do better!
vitamins- check!
dinner- no clue yet
Like Carol, I am 2.5 years out from surgery and finding it increasingly difficult to maintain/avoid the regain. Started to regain a couple pounds and so I'm here, back where it all started for me to get centered and focused.
pre-op I was 236 pounds. My lowest was 135. I am now 142 pounds. I never made it to my goal of 130, but that's my hope this time.
Keep up the good work everyone!!
