Post Surgery Update
Hey every one! I was sleeved on 4/20 and the surgery went very well. I came home today, still sore but grateful that there weren't any bigger problems. I knew that gas was an issue with this procedure going into it and from the time they brought me up to my room until this morning I have been going for walks literally every two hours to try and find some relief from the gas. When I told the nurses about the gas they said they don't give medicine for that, I just have to keep walking. Walking is not working! I took 2 GasX on my way home today and it is not doing enough. Also, since my abdomen is quite sore and weak, I try pretty hard to push out gas but it isn't working. It is painful and I'm frustrated that nothing I do to help it works. Anyone have suggestions for finding relief?

the gas is trapped in your body's cavities.. not intestines.. Gas-x is not going to help...
walking .. warm wraps- and more walking... it hurts . eventually you get rid of it..

Thanks for the advice! I'm walking every 2 hours and will try the warm wrap idea!

Thank you! Last night seemed to be a turning point (3 day mark) and the gas was...ahem....finding its way out, lol!

Thanks for the tip! I'm going to try the heating pad thing today to try and clear out what's left in there!
