5 Month update - Aces

Been 5 months from surgery.  Started at 314 the day my 2 week pre-surgery diet started, 292 at surgery and today 234.  60 lbs since the surgery and 80 lbs since I started the pre-surgery diet.  The weight loss has stabilized to about 2 lbs/wk.  Also, my highest weight in 2014 was 337, so I have officially lost over 100 lbs off my highest.  I was always active even before but since the weight started dropping off it has been great, snowballing, the more weight I lose the more exercise I get.  I ran a 5k last Saturday (10:22/mile pace), did the 8 week couch to 5k program app.  I can't believe what a change it has been, no regrets.  Food wise, I really pay attention to portions, I eat more than most (1200 - 1500 calories) at this stage but I think that is due to the amount of exercise I get.  My diet is very boring, which I am learning to accept, it makes it easy to stay on plan.  Good luck everyone thanks for sharing your stories, it really helped convince me this was the right move and it was.

Thanks for sharing and congratulations on all of your accomplishments!  It is so encouraging to hear stories like yours!
