OK, I used to be the queen of Air Conditioning.  I had my AC set at 68 and my furnace set at 65.  that was plenty warm for me.  I hated heat and everything to do with it.  Now that I'm 2 months out I'm freezing all the time.  I even have my coat on at work today.  What's up with all this?

I have been the same since surgery. There are many that complain of this, but I'm not sure of the cause. All I know is that I used an electric blanket this winter for the first time in my life. I am positive it was the best thing ever invented lol.

Even us guys get Cold after Surgery.

I have been cold since March 1st.  I use all the covers at night.  I sit in front of my space heater.  I wear a hoodie at home while watching TV.

Before last month, I was the exact opposite... I can't wait until Summer.

I'm sitting here in my home in mid april wearing a long-sleeved shirt, a sweater and a down vest of the top, and I'm still chilly.  I've always been cold, but it has gotten even worse since surgery.  When I'm alone in my car, and set the thermostat to 78 degrees, and then I'm comfy.

I think its common.

I like to think I'm cold all the time because I have less insulation!

In fact, I had my nails done last night and tried out a mood-type nail polish.  It changes from a pale pink to a bright pink when I'm cold.  I'm seeing a lot more bright pink while here at work!

For what it is worth, I had the same problem after I had my gall bladder removed.  It turned out, being cold became a really good way to tell I was tired.  Considering that the number of calories you are consuming is significantly lower than your body uses, that it is using up your reserves for energy makes a lot of sense.   I haven't had the surgery yet, but I can easily see that it would be similar.

Welcome to the club. I am 4 months out and for the last 2 months I have been constantly freezing cold and when others walk in shorts and a Tshirt, I still have my jeans and a sweater on. I used to love the cold and the air conditioning could not be low enough for me, now I can't wait for it to warm up and for summer to arrive, I guess we have all lost quite a bit of insulation!

Your body is adjusting to the new you.  Everything is out of wack right now.  It took me about 2 years to get straight. Good luck

I used to not have a problem with temperature before surgery... And then BANG, after about 4 months post op, I was freezing all the time. I went on winter vacation this past December and I had never been more cold in my life. I'm past 2 years and it's getting a little better, though even when I "feel fine" other people (specially in my family) who come in contact with my hands say I am FREEZING. Guess I've gotten used to it somehow, but I hate being cold. When you lose all that extra insolation it greatly impacts our body. Brrrr!!!!
