Cappy, I really appreciate your daily food posts. Being a pre-op person, I like getting the ideas of life post-op. Do you find there are any foods that you have trouble digesting post-op? When I saw Broccoli slaw my first reaction was ouch. I had this preconceived notion certain fibrous veggies would be a no-no. I love broccoli slaw so I'm happy to hear that's an option.
I find I can eat anything. I am low-carb most of the time, allowing high carbs occasionally. They still are addicting to me. But I can drink wine, and carbonated drinks, and eat any food - just in smaller quantities. I'm delighted with how effective the sleeve has been, and how "normal" my eating can be.
Did I mention? I love my sleeve. I think you'll be happy with yours, as well.
Carol

I see alot of people eating fibrous veggies, but I personally have a terrible time with them. Also pasta, rice, breads, heavy foods do not sit well on my tummy.
B: cored out bagel with peanut butter
S: animal crackers
L: 1/2 egg salad on white - mostly the egg salad
D: going out - IDK,
E: it's raining, not a member of the gym so - doubtful
L: pretty good
V: need to take multi

Pretty much same as yesterday but I don't feel as hungry - strange how our bodies work.
b-yogurt with unsweetened canned peaches (3 slices)
s-protein drink
s-cheese stick - WW mozz.
L-1 turkey meatball w/ sauce (that's all I had left) and 3 oz of tuna with light mayo
d-baked cod with 1 spoon full of rice and a diced cucumber - about a tablespoon
s-bran cereal.
You can't take care of them, if you don't take care of you!!

Just a few hours post-op, so not much! I've had about 12 oz of water and am just starting to sip some chicken broth. Pain is about what I expected, not terrible with the pain meds.
Yay! Congrats on being post-op! Hope you have a quick and easy recovery!

I applaud everyone for their progress and dedication. I am still in what my NUT calls the "Farewell to food tour". I will be joining you all very soon. I start my two week sugar free liquid fast next Friday 4/22 and my surgery on Friday 5/06. I am pretty much terrified at this point. I hope to be joining you all very soon with logging my food. Keep up the great logging!
