congrats! Im just before you on the 28th... down in Margate, but I live in Palm City.
Just scheduled my preop tests for may 6... trying to find a psychologist for preop clearances, but none of them are ever open...
Sweet. I had called one from BCBS website, they wanted $180 for the initial consult, $175 per test (two tests required) plus $180 for the final visit.
The surgeons office gave me the name of a guy they use who is in Palm Beach Gardens, so I'm scheduled now for tomorrow AM. He said its $10 or $20 depending on my copay
Absolutely! My insurance company is:
:P I have BCBS Florida (I think you do, too?) but my policy excludes bariatric. I work with my father (business owner) and my brother passed away after having RNY, so I'm not surprised he excludes it. He doesnt think highly of it. In fact, I wont be telling him until down the road that I had it.
Once I did my preop appointment, I had to do a private one with the surgeon and the office coordinator was able to schedule right away. They book out a month at a time or so. I did that in end of March maybe? Called back and scheduled a week or two later for the 26th
Had to have enough time to do about a months work of preop testing/evals, etc
