Hey all - 2nd day of pre op and getting antsy!  Did very well and can muscle through it - Guess I have to huh!  Anyway, any suggestions to what any of you have eating during pre op.....any interesting concoctions I can try - I feel bored and what is even tougher is quitting the nicotine on top of all this.    Let me know what you got for me please!

I don't know that I have any remedies, but I can commiserate.  The pre-op liquid diet is the worst, because you don't have the restriction or other physiological changes in the body to help.  But hang in there.  It'll all be a distant memory soon and you'll be on your way to better health.

One thing that helped me is going low carb, as carbs cause serious food cravings for me.

Another idea, is to find some very low cal foods to snack on.  During weight loss, I made a cucumber salad with a dressing made of plain greek yogurt, balsamic vinegar and artificial sweetener.  It was sweet and had a nice texture, and very low cal and low carb.  I shouldn't advocate cheating, but its better than a lot of other cheats.

best of luck.  You'll be so glad when the weight starts dropping.  it really is worth the struggle.
