Somehow I get the idea I shouldn't use my government-issued work computer to run this search.

Doing the search is fine. Clicking on most of the search results, not so much.

Try adding some sugar free torani syrup to yogurt if that is on your plan at the time. Chewing/spitting still activates the gastric acid response, but without putting food in their for it to work on.

I can certainly understand why you might want to do this sometimes, but I really think it's a bad idea.  You'll never get over your sweet tooth if you tease your taste buds like this! :)  Seriously, your sweet cravings will go away for the most part if you stick with a high protein, low carb eating plan.  The taste/spit thing is like an alcoholic taking a swig and spitting it out - seems like torture to me!  You may never lose your taste for sweets completely (I haven't), but you won't crave them anymore, and you'll be able to have a little bit now and then someday, and that will be satisfying enough.  Just white-knuckle it for now.  Good luck!!

Are you seeing a therapist who specializes in eating disorders? I'm not saying this to be rude, I seriously think you would benefit from seeing someone who can help you work through your issues with food (i.e. cheating on your pre-op and now this chewing/spitting behaviour).

I tried something new today that I need ya'lls opinion on. Im 2 weeks post op and I still get a sweet tooth. So what do I do? I take a bite of some forbidden stuff only I never swallow it. I savor it all in my mouth and then when the flavor fades then I spit it out and rinse my mouth out avoiding swallowing any bits whatsoever. Bending over a trash can and seeing my chewed food nauseates me anyway. What do you guys think? Is that ok or is there some risk?

bad idea. Digestion starts in the mouth and things can be absorbed thru the mucus membranes there.

If things are absorbed thru the mucus membranes, they go directly into the. Blood stream. Especially things with sugar or carby  things like bread or pastries.

As long as you are eating these things ,e ven chewing and spitting, you will crave them. As long as your body has ready sugar rouse for energy,I two t burn your stored fat and no weight. Loss will occur.

Time's up. Back under the bridge with the other trolls. You've been mildly entertaining up until now, but you've strained the limits of credulity.

Off with you Troll, off.

That was very immature. I have stopped doing this after I read about it and I am not a troll I am very serious about my health in the future.
