Happy 6 Months!
Good Morning Everyone!
As of today I am 6 months post-op. Yesterday, I was walking in the store with my 18 year old niece and her friend. They were walking behind me and I heard her friends say.. "wow girl you are looking so good from behind" That just made me feel so good. I don't have many people comment on my weight loss much. I don't know if it's because they are afraid to offend me or they feel it's none of their business. Every once in awhile a customer at work will say something. Either way, it was nice to hear. It really does make me feel good that people notice the change. I sometimes still have a hard time taking the compliments though.. Because in my mind I still have more to go and I feel I am not where I want to be just yet. I know it takes time and I am going to continue to work for my goals. However; I do feel great!
My Journey :

- 6 Months Post-Op : 290.8 (4/2016) -6.8 lbs.
Total Loss to Date : - 122.2 lbs.
You look great! Congrats on the 6 month mark!!
I have found that a lot of people are too shy to comment on it, but it definitely gets noticed. Close friends tend to be more open, and I have had MANY experiences where the close friends tell me how people say stuff to THEM, but very rarely to me directly. Even a woman I work with prefaced her compliment with "I know this may seem inappropriate but...you look like you've lost so much weight!!" It's a weird feeling because the compliments do make me sort of feel "on the spot" but I would also hate to lose over 100 lbs. and look the same (so no comments coming in at all!). Hehehe.

I had something similar to this happen Saturday... I was wearing a pair of leggings and my shirt had kind of rode up in the back and my sisters mom in law and her daughter were whispering something and then they said "ash come here real quick" "do you realize how small your back and your legs are getting?" feels NICE to have people who see you weekly notice things changing!
keep kickin' butt and taking names!
Wow. You are doing great. And I love the picture. You look so much younger now!
I am so happy for you. Keep up the good work. You'll be at goal before you know it.
